2. Conditioning, purification and improvement of aquaculture water quality
Sodium humate can be used in the purification and improvement of water quality in aquaculture, which is determined by its special structure and properties. Humic acid has colloidal properties, exhibits a loose structure in an aqueous solution, and contains a plurality of reactive groups, so that it has strong ion exchange capacity, adsorption, complexation, and binding ability. The humic acid granules, together with other particles adsorbed by them, condense to produce flocculent precipitates, thereby purifying the suspended organic matter of the water body to improve the transparency of the water.
3. Block the sun
After the application of sodium humate, the water will turn brown, which can block part of the sunlight from reaching the bottom layer, thus preventing the moss. In actual use, powdery products generally last for a short period of time in water, about 1-3 days; the relative duration of the flaky products is long, generally more than 5 days, because the sedimentation speed of the powdery product in water is higher than flaky product.
Precautions for using sodium humate in aquaculture
1.Sodium humate is difficult to dissolve in sea water directly, so it must be dissolved in fresh water at first before use.
2.Do not use with products have properties of strong acid, strong alkaline, and strong oxidizing.
3.The concentration of sodium humate should be controlled within the range of 0.0001~0.001%, means 1~10g/m³, in addition, the color of water should be a reference, not be too dark after the application of sodium humate, light yellow is preferred.
